In the running time, the demand of Mobile apps is enhancing from day to day due to increase in mobile users.In the running time,demand for the users to convert printed documents into electronic documents for keeping their data secure.These documents can reusable and editable. I want to design such a mobile app that could be used for education purpose specially for childern of grade 2 to grade 8.This app will extract text from image and then make a audio speech which can be easily heared by the users.When you are tired of reading books, you can extract text from book by image and listen it by audio function in my app. Our app will be more efficient than other apps. OCR improve the accuracy of recognizing the characters during document processing as compared to other existing character recognition methods.

  4. For designing purpose I use following methodologies:
  5.  The first two steps refer to creating a database for training using a set of documents, while the third one refers to recognition of new document images.
  6.  First, a pre-processing step that includes image binarization and enhancement takes place.
  7. At a second step a top-down segmentation approach is used in order to detect text lines, words and characters. A clustering scheme is then adopted in order to group characters of similar shape. This is a semi-automatic procedure since the user is able to interact at any time in order to correct possible errors of clustering and assign an ASCII label. After this step, a database is created in order to be used for recognition.
  8. Finally, in the third step, for every new document image the above segmentation approach takes place while the recognition is based onthe character database that has been produced at the previous step
Benefits of the Project

In spite of rough handling, one can read the OCR information with high degree of accuracy. Flatbed scanners are very accurate and can produce reasonably high quality images.
The processing of OCR information is fast. Large quantities of text can be input quickly.
A paper based form can be turned into an electronic form which is easy to store or send by mail.
It is cheaper than paying someone amount to manually enter large amount of text data. Moreover it takes less time to convert in the electronic form.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

OCR software processes a digital image by locating and recognizing characters, such as letters, numbers, and symbols. Some OCR software will simply export the text, while other programs can convert the characters to editable text directly in the image
