Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad has a large area. New students, employees and visitors face a problem in the university to reach easily and timely in the desired location due to the construction of new buildings and relocation of departments.
In the context of this project, a navigation system that consists of a mobile application for Quaid-i-Azam University will be developed.
The resulting application will guide the students and visitors in university about tracks and locations of different offices, departments, hostels, library, canteen, etc.
The application will basically be a campus navigation system for QAU.
Project Objectives
- To develop a campus navigation system for QAU.
- To offer students and visitors the ability to explore the university campus easily through a mobile application.
- To save the time and energy of students and visitors for finding different places in the university.
Project Implementation Method
Android Studio: Platform where you can build apps for Android Phones etc.
Google Maps API: For embedding Google maps and adding relevant content into the mobile application.

- Reducing stress by providing campus navigation and saving time for study
- Finding different routes towards their desired location
This project has benefits for visitors such as:
- Finding On-Campus Digital Directories easily through a mobile application without asking others for directions
- Visitors can easily find On-Campus Services and Amenities such as searching for a specific department building
Technical Details of Final Deliverable
The final deliverable is an android appliaction(embedding Google Maps API) implementing all the required functionalities of the system.
