Prosthetic Leg using Flex Sensor
Project Area of Specialization RoboticsProject SummaryOur project is prosthetic leg using flex sensor which will help amputes to live a normal life. Unlike a prototype we are developing the real leg which will be amplanted on the patient.
On Amputated limb there is two servo motor, receiver and arduino.
The flex sensor work on the bending when the patient walk the ankle and the knee bend due to bending the sensor produce resistance and will send signal to the arduino then the ardunio will send the signal to NRF24L01 transmmistter. The amputated leg there is another NRF24L01 receiver which will receive the signal and will send that signal to arduino. The arduino give permission to the knee servo motor and the leg will move forward the ankle motor will move too. the previous project was made for prototype whereas this project will applied to amputes on real time.
Project ObjectivesThe objective of this project is to help amputes which can not walk due to loss of leg. If this project is funded we can help those patients who are suffering from disability.
Project Implementation MethodWe visited paraplagic hospital peshwar there we were searching about amputated patients we met senior doctors but the pataint there was not on our project demand.
After that we visited artificial limb workshop behind Khyber teaching Hospital Peshawar. They gave us patient., we are working on designing of prosthetic leg for him so that he may walk again.
Benefits of the Project1.No skin problems
2.Stable and safer standing and sitting
3.A sense of the artificial limb belonging to the body
4.Easy and quick attachment and removal
5.Improved quality of life.
6.Increased prosthetic use
7.Longer walking distances
8.Full range of joint movement
9.Better sitting comfort
Technical Details of Final DeliverableFinally we will give the leg to the patient. because basic level of physiological funtion should be a part of human body. the patient will ot feel the severe depression.
