This project is based on Android app For Nearest Masjid is to create a full-fledged android application which could locate a list of masjid based on the location of the nearest masjid entered by the user. The user not only finds all the masjid in the city, but also he can make a choice of the nearest masjid. The user can also map the location of the masjid on Google Maps rendered to the user on the phone & find the path from his current location or from any other location to the masjid. Masjid must be registered with the application by Imam-emasjid. And only Imam-e-masjid have a permission to change or update the prayers time. The user has the facility to see all the details of the prayers time in the masjid. The user interface is kept simple and understandable. The user need not take any additional effort to understand the functionality and navigation in the application. The colors are chosen in such a way that user can easily understand where the input has to be given. Hints are given to help the user in giving the correct input. In this app we will display or tag all the location that are present in the 3 KM radius from the current location and will show you the location as shown in the figure. On clicking on any of the pins you will redirected to the profile page of the masjid.

Project Objectives

The objectives of this project are to design and develop a mobile application which: 

  1. Allow users to search for the nearest Mosque to pray the prayer. Nearby Mosque will be displayed based on user preference without user intervention on the application. 
  2. Display information e.g. prayer time list, prayer remaining time, address of Mosque and about the imam. Users can see all the nearest Mosque and their prayer times to decide whether they want to pray in the Mosque.
  3. Imam of masque will share prayers times information, Mosque pictures (optional) 
  4. With the Islamic Calendar, You'll be seeing Ramadan Timetable and all Islamic holidays like Eid Al Fitr, Eid Al Adha, lailatul qadr, and Day of Ashura. etc.
  5. Facilitate Online Alim for Questions & Answers to religious discussions. 
  6. Each prayer time is displayed as well as how much time is left to the next Azan time
  7. Stopping at a correct mosque during traveling between cities.
  8. A user can pinpoint a location on a map where he is about to lead prayer and other people can find him from the map and join him in salah. 
  9. This app will track your prayer progress and Ramadan fasts and check how many prayers or fasts you missed.
  10. This App will listen to your Quran recitation and can notice when you make an error and correct you.
  11. When the user touches a word in Arabic (in Quran) it will display the meaning of that word in English (or in another language). If the user does a double tab, then the individual word will be recited.
     
Project Implementation Method

Benefits of the Project

Salah (Muslim’s pray) is the mandatory worship for Muslims who performed it 5 times daily. Thus must pay attention to the terms of the Salah such as facing the inexactly and performed Salah when the time comes. This project aims to develop a Prayer Assistant, which is to create a full-fledged Mobile application that could locate nearby Mosques, prayer timings of those mosques, subscribe to mosques to get a notification when prayer timings are updated, Qibla finder and route planning to reach a mosque during travel. 

A Muslim cannot direct himself towards the Qibla correctly if he cannot see the Kaaba due to setting out process and certain motions during the prayer this can significantly shift the Qibla direction from the actual position of the Kaaba. The requirement of Muslims prayed facing towards the Kaaba is more as a spiritual prerequisite rather than physical evidence.
Prayer Assistant will also facilitate Online Alim for Questions & Answers to religious discussions. The user interface is kept simple and understandable.
The location of a smartphone or precise location can be easily identified by the Global Position System (GPS). Using GPS along with Google map can help the user to discover the nearby Mosques. By clicking any of the pins of Mosque you will redirect to the profile page of the selected Mosque. Then only the Imam Mosque will subscribe to the Mosque. And the user will see all the details of prayer timings or other related information of those mosques that are subscribed. 
 

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

This project will let people take the benefits of this app to find the nearest Masjid for the prayers. People will also be able to find the direction of Qibla anytime anywhere. People will be able to find the list of upcoming apps events of Islam on our app website. Daily Duas, Quotes, and Verses on our app website. People who are unable to use the different app they can use this app any time they want. Islamic history will be available anytime anywhere. Prayer times will be available on our android app. This app will use for people's facilitate purposes. And introduces the best quality graphics. Donations for the construction of different mosques will be available on android.
