POWER SYSTEM SURVEILLANCE USING QUAD-COPTER IN REAL TIME
Proper distribution of electricity is problem, facing by the eservice provider. They face many issues during this one of the major issue or this is the faults occurs in insulators. To avoid this issue they use their employees for surveillance of this which is harmful for them and more time and resources consuming. We introduce the prototype which can monitor insulators and their health to without harming human life and using less time and resources. By using the quad-copter and sensors we are performing this task. Temperature and humidity sensors are used to monitor the health of the system and its environment. Quad copter is used for capturing images of the system and insulator. We are performing image processing on the images of insulators to detect the faults in insulators which we captured via drone.
Surveillance of power system in real time using quad copter and environment condition around the system in real time.
We use quad copter as a tool to capture images of the power system specially. Small sensor box is install in quad copter for the humidity around the system and temperature of the system. Matlab is used for images processing on the images we get from drone. By analyzing the different results we design a chart for comparison among the faulty and good one insulators. Humidity and temperature reading is used to analyses the further characteristics of the system.
By using this prototype we can monitor the Power system and avoid future disturbance in power distribution. This prototype is just an idea to provide better way for the surveillance of distribution system. This prototype can be enhance in future by using many different ways.
