So it is the need of every industry that they should estimate the harmonics in their system and try to neutralize it. This is where our task comes that we find a solution to this problem to estimate harmonics

As harmonics exist in every non-linear load and the most influential are the odd harmonics. So it is the need of every industry that they should estimate the harmonics in their system and try to neutralize it. This is where our task comes that we find a solution to this problem to estimate harmonics using some techniques so we can help and solve this necessary problem. To estimate harmonics in the power system. To estimate means to define a mathematical function and estimate coefficients of that equation using some iterative techniques.

Acquiring 220V line data.
Acquiring experimental harmonic data of a nonlinear load (power electronic).
Analysis of existing harmonic estimation techniques.
Implementation of a harmonic estimation technique using iterative algorithms based on following criteria/models

2.Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT)
3.Least Absolute Value (LAV)

As we know harmonics exists in every power system, it can cause damage to the system because some harmonics are dangerous like odd harmonics so our project is to find the harmonics in the system and evaluate their parameters whith which we can then create an additional system which can reduce harmonics to a certain limit. The results obtained would be helpful in system analysis and for filter design for harmonic reduction. Actually, the order of harmonic plays an important role in determining the filter parameters; precise harmonic can ease this task
