PLC Based Automatic Car Wash System Driven By Solar Tracking System
This project describes the implentation of PLC based automatic car wash system . Whole system of car wash is driven(energize) by the dual-axis solar traker system.There are five stages in car wash system (1) Water spraying (2) Foaming and brushing (3) Clean water spraying (4) Drying (5) Waxing. Solar tracker unit is controlled through the aurdinio .Four LDR's are placed at the top of the frame of solar plate which are used as the light sensors whose values will be provided to the aurdinio and the aurdino will deceide the rotation of the plate by taking the averages of LDR's values.
The objective of our project is to wash the vehicles in short period of time along with it reduces the man labours.Its completly automatic system which will reduce the man power.Moreover,the project is free from the WAPDA electricity consumption as it takes the power from the battery which is charged through the dual axis solar tracker system which reduces it cost.
SOLAR TRACKER SYSTEM : Solar tracker system is dual axis i.e it can move in the direction of hozinotal and vertical both. Four LDR's are placed at the top of the frame of solar plate. LDR's value will be provided to the aurdino.Aurdino will first calculate the averages of these four LDR's such that Top two LDR's average value, Bottom two LDR's average values,Right and Left LDR's average values . Then the aurdino will rotate the plate in that direction in which the LDR's average values are greatest in such a way that the solar plate will receive the maximum power.The solar plate used having power 10 watts and the battery having 7Amp and 12Volts.
CAR WASH SYSTEM: There are total five stages in car wash system , for every stage a proximity sensor is used to detect the car .In the first stage,the clean water is sprayed on the car through the water pumps in all directions.In the second stage , foaming and brushing took placed.in the third stage, clean water is sprayed to wash the car again fouth stage has DC fans to dry the car and at the end in last step waxing of the vehicle is implemted. The output of the sensors are connected to the inputs of the PLC and then the PLC will switch the respective motors . A conveyor belt is used which is continously moving on which car is placed . DC gear motor is used for the conveyor belt which has low rpm i.e 30rpm.
