The Internet of things (IoT) is a newly developed technology in which the internet is connected to physical devices and everyday objects, for example, Embedded with electronics, internet connectivity, and other forms of hardware (such as sensors).
IoT has been widely studied in both academia and industry, specifically, in healthcare, smart cities, etc. However, minimal research has been dedicated to smartly monitor the health of animals. Many of the livestock animals die due to the carelessness of their health. It is widely accepted that  IoT makes the life of a common person easier.  Therefore, we have decided to introduce the IoT concept in livestock for the sake of smartly monitoring the health system of the livestock animals. The IoT system will facilitate the farmer about the health condition in advance as well as check the historical health data of the respective animal. For example, our proposed method will measure body parameters like temperature, heartbeat and more importantly, will trace/find the diseases like diarrhoea etc.  The proposed system will be connected to the cloud and then it will be connected to the app/website.

Project Objectives

1.    It will make easier for the farmers to identify the health of the animals.
2.    It will give help to keep the body temperature of the animal constant.
3.    It will help to measure the heartbeat rate of the animal to identify/indicate the impact of stress and agitation if an animal has.
4.    It will identify/detect the viral and parasitic infections in an animal body in advance.

Project Implementation Method

The Technology behind this project is IOT (Internet of Things). The working principle of IoT based systems where hardware system contains sensor to measure the respective parameters, controllers, required modules which further processed and upload the collected data to the cloud. In the second part, the cloud service provider is selected which give us a service to store our data and access it over mobile application/website. In the third part, uploaded data is fetched on an android application which provides friendly graphical user interphase help the person to access his/her monitored health data.

Benefits of the Project

This project gives the idea or benefits or platform to detect the following parameters regarding animal health.
1.    It will be easier for the farmers to check the health of his/her animals on only one click through the app.
2.    It will become easier to detect various factors of the animal’s body like temperature and heartrate as these are the essential part of the healthcare.
3.    It will be much easier to detect different viral and parasitic diseases like diarrhea through smart management system.
4.    It will be helpful to identify whether an animal’s body is ready for breeding or not.
5.    It will also give description about animal’s weight, growth and production.
