PETBASE is a mobile application created with the primary goal of assisting and caring for wounded or sick cats and dogs. The PETBASE application has three basic modules. The first is the application's highlight, where users can upload images of any stray animal in need of help, as well as the animal's details, and then shelters or other users can either come to the rescue or comment on the picture to guide them to safety. The second module is for pet veterinary doctors. We hope to connect with a few animal hospitals and keep them in touch with us so that whenever an animal, specifically a domesticated pet animal, is injured or sick, the owner can contact our on-board doctors and seek treatment either online or in person after a doctor's appointment. The third and final module is that of a pet store, where we link with store owners that sell pet foods and accessories, upload the things that are accessible in stores, and consumers may order any item online. The user may pick up their items at their doorstep, and the shop will sell their products while we handle the collection and delivery while preserving a profit margin.

Project Objectives

After the project PETBASE is done, we want to see a brighter future for the animals in Pakistan, reducing animal mistreatment and the occasional mass killings. Once completed, our application will allow users to connect with other pet lovers and shelters. For example, all of our users will be able to share pictures of injured stray dogs/cats, allowing others to adopt them, and shelters will be able to get the location of the animal and rescue it themselves. PETBASE would also meet the demands of pet owners by offering a platform for them to communicate with veterinarians and purchase food and accessories from our on-site pet store.

Project Implementation Method

We will develop PETBASE by using following Tools and Technologies; React Native: React Native is an open-source mobile application framework created by Facebook. Android Studio: Android Studio provides a unified environment where you can build apps for Android phones, tablets, Android Wear, Android TV, and Android Auto. We will work on react native that will use JavaScript language. It is part of the mobile application the method/technique we will use is the developer operation because it is an industrial technique.

Benefits of the Project

Following are the features we will implement in PETBASE ; User to User Connection for Adoption: Users can post and see if there’s any Animal available for adoption. Connection of Users with Shelters: Users can post pictures and tag location of stray animals found so Our Registered Shelters can help the animal. Connection of Users with Vets: Users can communicate with our Vets and can get help.Animal Store: Users can find everything for their pets in our PETBASE Store. They can order Online through PETBASE.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Many animal lovers are picky about animals that have been well-bred and have a pedigree. However, who would care after all the strays who die or are massacred every day on the streets if everyone adopts just a pedigreed animal? Persians, Siamese, German Shepherds, Boxers, Pitt Bulls, and other 'excellent breeds' are in high demand. But what about the stray animals? Is it not clear that they also deserve our love and affection? Shouldn't we also welcome them into our hearts and minds? Various municipal entities poison or kill stray animals, which is not only costly but also cruel. To raise awareness of this issue while simultaneously assisting animals, we came up with the concept of creating an app that would relieve the burden that animal lovers have when they see a dog or cat injured on the road and don't know who to call. People should understand that all lives are valuable and must be protected.
