Project Summary

This project is designed to manage the information of patients of JSF (Jamila Sultana Foundation) and manage the service processes. The main goal of system is to streamline the flow of information across the JSF towards effective decision making for patient care, in an optimized and efficient manner. Recording of patient information and recording of medical personnel information on paper is at risk of thievery, fire outbreaks, misplacement by employees and even petty things such as handwriting legibility. Everyday a large number of patients visit JSF and clinics for checkup some of them are prescribed to visit next time.
But, the time of patient registration is longer than time of treatment in the most hospitals due to use of manual paper-pen system of patient management. The growing use of computers is becoming the solution to these problems these days.
Keeping customer`s needs in mind, we need an automated system, which can solve these problems by providing necessary functionalities and security features to the customer. This system is designed to easily maintain the data of the patients specifically. This system is made to keep the records about the patients, doctors and other staff members working at a JSF. Many new patients visit the JSF daily, so adding the new patient’s details and keeping the records using it is very easy.

Project Objectives

Objective of the Patient monitoring system is aimed to develop a system to maintain the dayto-day state of admission/discharge of patients, list of patients, reports generation, and etc. It is designed to achieve the following objectives:

• To ease the process of patient monitoring in Jamila Sultana Foundation.
• To help JSF with reporting about the patients treatment.
• User Management.
• The system will register the patients. 
• Patient can view its medical history and profile.
• Patient gets notified about his next appointments.
• Doctor can add notes in the patient profile.
• Integration of patient management system with blood management system.
• To manage the cross matching of required blood for patient with the donors blood records present in the blood management system.
• Transfusion record of the patient is stored.
• Reporting the different tests of patients will be managed. 
• Monitoring charts of patient's intake, outtake and Medication,
• Height and weight monitoring charts of the patient is recorded.
• Iron chelation is carried out on the patient will also be recorded.
• Patient is been monitor after the transfusion in the monthly monitoring chart.
• Scheduling the appointment of patient with doctors to make it convenient for both. 
• The information of the patients should be kept up to date and there record should be kept in the system for historical purposes.
• Graphs of meditation about the ferritin, HB and Hemoglobin are displayed in the profile.

We are going to use these tools and languages for development of web-based patient monitoring system.
