Project Summary

The aim of our project is ease the appointments with doctors in these needy times of pandemic. Since we all know that COVID-19 is mutating frequently due to which hospitals have to face lack of availability of doctors due to COVID-19 emergencies and most people avoid to go to hospitals too to prevent themselves from getting infected because hospitals are a hot zone for COVID-19. We have come up with an idea to integrate everything and give access to the user to get everything relevant in one place. The user will be able to search for the doctor of their choice in their respective vicinity by describing the symptoms to the app. The app will help the user by reading those symptoms and then suggest the patient the doctor of their need. The patient will then have an option of either virtual consultation of face to face consultation through the app. The patient will be able to book an appointment with the doctor of their choice and will get all the necessary details after that. This will be an easy to use and user friendly mobile application. All the payments to book an appointment will be done through the app and the user will be able to write reviews regarding the experiences with their respective doctors too.

Project Objectives

To make the communication between doctor and patient fast, easy, efficient and safe. Patient and doctor can mutually agree over their favourable time and date for the appointment which will help the patients in a way that they won’t have to waste their time in hospitals to book an appointment or wait for the doctor. They will be able to do that from the comforts of their homes.

Project Implementation Method

Our Project implementation method will be scrum which will have milestone period of 2 weeks throughout our FYP. Since it's a mobile application, scrum is best suited for this project to constantly check the usable product.

Benefits of the Project

Basically, this application will fill the gap between the patient and the doctor as it brings both on the same platform which makes it easy for patients to find out doctor in their vicinity and can get to know about their basic details sitting at home without actually visiting them and can book an appointment as well.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

It will be an android based mobile application that will be developed using React Native. There will be seperate flow for doctor side and the patient side and both will be able to connect with eachother and deal with the appointments using our app.
