Shopping has long been considered a recreational activity by many. Shopping online is no exception. The goal of this application is to develop a web based interface for online retailers. The system would be easy to use and hence make the shopping experience pleasant for the users. The goal of this application is • To develop an easy to use web based interface where users can search for products, view a complete description of the products and order the products. •  A search engine that provides an easy and convenient way to search for products specific to their needs. The search engine would list a set of products based on the search term and the user can further filter the list based on various parameters.  • An AJAX enabled website with the latest AJAX controls giving attractive and interactive look to the web pages and prevents the annoying post backs. • Drag and Drop feature which would allow the users to add a product to or remove a product from the shopping cart by dragging the product in to the shopping cart or out of the shopping cart. • A user can view the complete specification of the product along with various images and also view the customer reviews of the product. They can also write their own reviews.

Project Objectives

We have examined the existing system and investigated problems related with it. We understood the limitations of existing system and got a clear idea of requirements and needs for the new web-based Online Store E-Commerce Website shop.  In manual system all the records are retained in documents format which needs proper place and protection to keep the saved record.

Project Implementation Method

The user interface of the application has been designed using CodeIgniter The main controls used in the design are Repeaters, Ajax Update panels, Ajax toolkit controls like modal popup, textbox watermark and Auto complete controls.

The user can see the list of products that are available. The user can search for products by entering the search term into the search textbox provided on the top. This text box is watermarked with the words “Search Terms” to let the user know that this is the place to enter the search terms. The user can filter the products by using the dropdown lists

• There is a wide range of products online. The sellers display all the stuff they've got. This enables the buyers to choose from a variety of models after comparing the finish, features, and price of the products on display.

• Availability

• The mall is open on 365 x 24 x 7. So, time does not act as a barrier, wherever the vendor and buyers are.

• Online tracking

• Online consumers can track the order status and delivery status tracking of shipping is also available.

• To attract customers to shop online, e-retailers and marketers offer discounts to the customers as they have cut down on real estate and maintenance cost the sellers won't back out in giving huge discounts.

• Online shopping saves money

Projects create deliverables, which are simply the results of the project or the processes in the project. That means a deliverable can be something as big as the objective of the project itself or the reporting that is part of the larger project.

Another way to put that is that there are inputs and outputs in any type of project. That being what you put into the project, such as data, resources, etc., and then what comes out, which are the deliverables. Again, those deliverables can be a product or service and it can also be the documentation that is part of the project closure to show that the project is complete and everything has been signed off.

Product deliverables, on the other hand, could be hardware, software, mobile applications, contracts, or even test assessment results.

The deliverables that clients and stakeholders expect at the end of the project are the product or service, of course, but there is also paperwork, as noted. These documents, when completed, are deliverables that clients and stakeholders need in order to evaluate the progress or completion of the project.
