Project Summary

As we see in today’s world all businesses are moving to the online and users feel comfortable doing their work online, without interacting with someone. We have an idea to make an online system that provides banquet booking facilities to the people. By using this system people can easily book their banquet without going anywhere. We are going to innovate an automated administrative online banquet system with a 3D virtual tour feature for clients, this system is to facilitate people to arrange Banquet in their comfortable environment, due to COVID-19 we wanted to develop a system that provides the least interaction with the people and we can do our work safely. Also, our focus is to keep track of the availability of the Banquet to save customers crucial time. 

OBMS is an effective complete web solution for banquet booking, any sort of program can be entertained via OBMS it reduces the human effort for banquet booking and involves stakeholders (Banquet Administration & Customer) thoroughly. OBMS support multiple vendors (Decoration, Sound System, Caterers) same may be involved in any event partially or completely. Customers of OBMS can easily customize arrangements and vendor resources accordingly. Banquet administration can engage all vendors from a single platform, and may easily manage financials. OBMS provides a facility for all users to set customized events according to requirements and has a virtual tour of each banquet, the further user may easily communicate with banquet administration within an application for any sort of queries, and secure payment can be made via this system.

Project Objectives

The objectives of this project

  • To provide an automated administrative system that gives an Online Banquet service.
  • To facilitate time efficient, at home and customized arrangement according to the user need.
  • To implement AI Chatbot.
  • To implement Multi-vendor System support.
  • To implement Payment Integration – (Two-way factor Authentication)
  • To provide 3D virtual tour for clients.

Project Implementation Method

In this project we are using Iterative development model. We are not using waterfall model because iterative model supports more features on every next iteration for example we develop our project this time on a very small scale but next time if we want to add some other features in our project, this iterative model support changes perfectly. Iterative model leads the software development process in iterations. This model supports the process of development in cycle manner repeating every steep after every cycle of SDLC process.

Iterative model supports accessing previous phase, in which the changes made accordingly. In iterative model full specification does start development begins by specifying and implementing just a small part of the software and reviewed after identify further requirements. Phases involved in the Online Banquet Management System are planning, Analysis and Design, Implementation, Testing, and Evaluation phase.

Benefits of the Project

Now a day’s population of urban cities are increasing and the peoples have to attend parties, arrange functions on daily basis. we are going to innovate an automated administrative online banquet system with 3D virtual tour feature for clients, with this system is to facilitate people to arrange Banquet in their comfortable environment, due to COVID-19 we wanted to develop a system that provide least interaction with the people and we can done our work safely. Also our focus is to keep track the availability of Banquet to save customer crucial time.

Through this system we are providing ease to the people in booking their desired banquet. This system also provide price information to the people that help the people to calculate the estimate for their function

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

We used bootstrap, CSS, HTML, JQUERY, Fontawesome, ReactJS, Redux in our website to help guide our user’s eyes and make our system more attractive. We Redux for storing UI layer data. The most common use of Redux is with react so we also use react in our wesite design. With Redux, the state of your application is kept in a store, and each component can access any state that it needs from this store. JQuery is a lightweight, "write less, do more", JavaScript library. The purpose of jQuery is to make it much easier to use JavaScript on your website. JQuery takes a lot of common tasks that require many lines of JavaScript code to accomplish, and wraps them into methods that you can call with a single line of code.

Database design helps data to be stored which is relevant to the users. We use MySQL, RDMS, Redis to make our database design more efficient. MySQL is a popular, time-tested, but also modern and fully-featured relational database management software. MySQL was originally envisioned to manage massive databases, faster than existing database software.

Business design pattern provide the pattern that allow developers to communicate using well-known names for software interaction. MVC pattern are designed to handle different aspects of an application in development. The MVC design pattern serves to separate the presentation layer from the business logic. MVC is popular in app and web development, and it’s one of the most widely used software design patterns for app and web development.
