Project Area of Specialization Information & Communication TechnologyProject SummaryNawabshah e-Auction Portal is a web application based on "Forward Auction" approach, on which users can post for auction electronically with appropriate detail and related pictures, after approval of admin/semi-admin postwould be published and visible to other users from starting date and time to ending date and time. Users can place their bids and heighest bidder would win that auction same as physical auction method. Due to need and demand of users, initially scope of this project is limited to Nawabshah district of Sindh.
Project ObjectivesObjectives of Nawabshah e-Auction Portal are:
1. To develop smart, secure and aesthetic web application to do legal auctions digitally.
2. To save resources and time of arranging physical auction and participating physical auction.
3. To prevent people from social contact in current physical auction system.
4. To enhance efficiency and transparency of auction procedure and result.
Project Implementation MethodThe whole process of Nawabshah e-Auction Portal development is divided into separate phases. In this model, typically, the outcome of one phase acts as the input for the next phase sequentially.
The sequential phases in our model are ?
- Requirement Gathering and analysis ? All possible requirements of the system to be developed are captured in this phase and documented in a requirement specification document.
- System Design ? The requirement specifications from first phase are studied in this phase and the system design is prepared. This system design helps in specifying hardware and system requirements and helps in defining the overall system architecture.
- Implementation ? With inputs from the system design, the system is first developed in small programs called units, which are integrated in the next phase. Each unit is developed and tested for its functionality, which is referred to as Unit Testing.
- Integration and Testing ? All the units developed in the implementation phase are integrated into a system after testing of each unit. Post integration the entire system is tested for any faults and failures.
- Deployment of system ? Once the functional and non-functional testing is done; the product is deployed in the customer environment or released into the market.
- Maintenance ? There are some issues which come up in the client environment. To fix those issues, patches are released. Also to enhance the product some better versions are released. Maintenance is done to deliver these changes in the customer environment.
Benifits of Nawwabshah e-Auction Portal are:
1. Users can save their time and money by post / participate in auction digitally at their homes.
2. Due to COVID-19 pendamic , social distancing is actually achieving by this project.
3. Security and transparency are main benifits of this project.
4. Between starting date and time to ending date and time of e-auction, every user can see post, details, heighest bid, and profile of heighest bidder and a system to place his/her bid.
5. Users and admin can contact to each other users easily.
6. Admin could see e-auction pending posts, approved posts, rejected posts, objected posts, running auctions, previous auctions, upcomming auctions seperately.
7. Decision making will be so simple for admin.
8. Users could see all running auctions and upcomming auctions, their approved, rejected and objected auctions by admin.
9. Admin and users could see winners of all auctions and can contact to winner.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableTechnical Details Of Nawabshah E-aution Portal.
(1) The Html,Css,Php,Sql languages are used in Notepade++.
(2) The Sql database Is used.
(3) The Xampp Offline server tool is used.
