Project Summary

Today’s world is composed of a high-tech lifestyle along with a very busy schedule. It is hard for a person to take some time out for research, especially when it comes to looking for similarities amongst different religions i.e. Islam and Christianity. Both their Holy books are written in different languages and to understand their translation and compare it with each other is a time-consuming job. The purpose of this project is to bring harmony and connection amongst the two religions in a time efficient manner.

Our proposed web-based interface will be used to find the text resemblance of Bible with the Holy Quran. The input (English translated) text will crawl and come up with related verses which appear in both the Holy books along with references. We will project a similar approach for sentence identification in both translated Holy books. The tools for development method would be co-labs, pycharm and other if needed. This is to be done by combining different techniques of Natural Language Processing (NLP) which will support the machine learning algorithms to find resemblance.

Project Objectives

The main purpose of this platform is to provide web application where users can match bible translated text with Holy Quran translated text (English).

Project Implementation Method

In the proposed project, we are using the SCRUM methodology which is a rapid progress model of software engineering because our requirements may evolve as the system development progresses. Different machine learning algorithms are to be implemented for better and accurate results. Python Programming language is to be utilize for the development of web application.

Benefits of the Project

This project will beneficial for both the community the project is to make it easy for everyone to understand the similarities and differences between Islam and Christianity and to bring both the communities (Muslim and Christian) on mutual grounds to promote harmony amongst the religions as well as add value to the generation of world peace.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

It is a completely web-based application and the result would be a website optimized for desktop and mobile browsers.
