Project Area of Specialization RoboticsProject SummaryPakistan is an agro-based country where 75% population earns a living by means of farming. Farmers face several problems during crop harvesting. At the last of 20th century, the idea of ‘precision farming’ has emerged as a current research topic all over the world. Today, most of the domains in agriculture put an effort on their behalf for encouraging the growth in modern agricultural technologies. Due to this, an impulse is generated for the integration of modern information technology into the agricultural machines like harvesters, tractors etc.
Motivation for the project is to decrease harvesting cost and manual labour and increase the value of the product to the consumer. Multi-purpose agribot is a vehicle that can prove to be helpful in the domain of agriculture. This agribot performs two actions in parallel, one is the functioning of agribot to move and the other is to detect plants in that path. If the agribot is in operating mode any plant comes into it’s path, then agribot stops, access of GPS co-ordinates are cut off and the blade (harvester) starts. But if there is no plant in its way, then the GPS co-ordinates are obtained again and agribot keeps moving in that direction. After harvesting the crops, they are collected in a bucket automatically.

the perfect project implementation will be in a field. but initial implementation of project gone well.
Benefits of the ProjectIts all benifits in the field of agriculture are very operative and on full scale. it will help farmer to produce more crops and then to cut the crop in a shorter time. it will save alot of money in the shape of wages which they are paying to the labours.
Multi purpose agribot reduces the direct interaction of farmers to the crops.
further on the future work include a full scale spray mechanism, and also to detect weeds in the plants.
Technical Details of Final Deliverableit include Arduino controller and also the gps system more a cutter or blade. and these all are connected technically into each others. technically its a control project and it will control the cutting procedure and operating procedure through both automaticallly and manually. automatically it will be operated through gps system. and manually it will operate through mobile application. more on it has a wonderful image processing of plants.
