Pakistan Motor way is one of the great development in Pakistan. Thousands of people use motor way on daily basis due to fast and safe journey. However every year in winter due to fog lot of people died due to accidents. We are developing an Arduino based app to facilitate drivers in foggy weather to be more aware of the environment despite having less visual input to drive safely. Human eyes have less visibility in fog like weather but the machine can be independent of that. Ultrasonic sensor integrated with Arduino will use by an android app as an output terminal and sensor will use as an input terminal. Communication among motorway drivers will be through the android app for rescue and well informed traveling. Any driver can know his/her lane as well as other vehicle lane in a certain range. Also drivers can know the distance between the nearby cars. Whenever any vehicle is in the close range and on the same lane, the sytem will generate alert and also capbale to talk with the nearby vehicle driver. With the implementation of this system we can save lot of precious lives every year, particularly in foggy weather of Pakistan.

Project Objectives

Make Human life secure.

Reduce the chances of accidents on motorway.  

In foggy weather motorway police block the motorway and many people loss their important works so due to this implementation motorway will not block and people will work in normal routine.

Project Implementation Method

We are using Arduino sensor and making Android Application and also using a GPS map. GPS map will inform about nearest vehicle The sensor will detect the vehicle which is near and show an alert on Android Application. Drivers can communicate with other drivers.

Benefits of the Project

Weather-related traffic injuries and the death toll are increasing every year and fog is one of those weather issues. To overcome the fog problem we are providing a solution that would keep driver aware of foresight in spite of low visibility due to fog.
