Project Area of Specialization Electrical/Electronic EngineeringProject SummaryThe Money sterilizer electronic machine (MSEM) sterilizes the currency notes through a series of steps. When the currency note is inserted into a machine,it is detected by a sensor present inside the machine. The note moves forward through a feed roller with a maximum temperature of 125°C. For temperature control a thermistor is employed. A gear assembly spins the heat & feed rollers. The note is sprayed by a disinfectant and further germs are reduced by ultraviolet rays .A pin hole camera is also present which takes the image and the machine displays the value of currency on an LCD. A sterlized dry currency note is available at the output of the machine.
Project ObjectivesTo design a money sterilizer machine to disinfect currency notes
To provide output to the customer In a sanitized form within a few seconds without damaging the currency .
Project Implementation MethodThe Money sterilizer electronic machine (MSEM) is implemented using an IR sensor, heat roller, chain & gear assembly, a pin hole camera and a temperature sensor. The note inserted into the machine is first detected by an IR sensor. The currency note moves forward through a heat roller by a teflon photocopier chain & gear assembly. A sanitizing pump sprays the note and the note again moves forward towards an output heat roller and through ultraviolet (UV) rays .These rays further sanitize the notes . A pin hole camera capture the process and displays the value of currency on the LCD screen.

Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe final deliverable will include
1. Transformer 230-9volt
Center tapped step down transformer.The transformer act as a step-down transformer reducing AC 230V TO 9V.
2. Bridge Rectifier
Four diodes to make one bridge rectifier to convert AC to DC.
3. Regulators
LM317 voltage regulator for transformer output.
LM7812 12 volt regulator for temprature sensor.
LM7805 5volt for sanitizing pump.
4. Microcontroller AT89C52
On chip flash memory.
5. Pin hole Camera
Dahuaoem 4MP Mini IP pinhole camera.
6. UV Lamp
10" -4 pin Model T-721.
