The goal of our project is to deliver the goods like medicines more efficiently. Delivering goods on other mediums like bikes are too much time consuming and we have to face many challenges. It takes too much time and resources. It is also costly to have a delivery person and that person also faces problems while delivering the product e.g., personal health problem, delivery vehicle malfunctioning and traffic problems. Drones have become far more capable, safer, and less noisy than the other goods delivery mediums. Drones will also make delivery operations Fast and Flexible. Because of that we are going to make this innovative system to make this delivery system easy, efficient and less time consuming.

Project Objectives

Our main objective is to give an efficient drone delivery system. Drones are less time consuming and resource efficient. For start we are only targeting on delivering medicines using drone. Delivering medicine and first aid box on time is very necessary. In a case of accident people need aid urgently whether they are at home or on road. Drones can deliver medicines faster as compare to be delivery on mobile ambulance. One VTOL will be able to deliver medicine to a specific radius of approximately 500m to 1km (that can vary from drone to drone). All the people living in a society which have underground wiring will be able to get the facility of this online medicine delivery system.

Project Implementation Method

Our mobile app will ask user to login/ sign up first. User must have to provide its location as our services will only be in the areas where the electric wiring is underground. User will select its required items from the main home page or he can either search them. He will receive the list of products from all the vendors in his areas. Customer will also be able to place order from our website. Every vendor from that specific area will have its virtual pharmacy on our app and web.

Customer will place order from mobile app or web and the service provider will get the requirements of the customer. Service Provider then confirm the order from the user and give the route coordinates to drone then launches its delivery to the destination. Service provider will be monitoring the drone through drone's GPS locator and will also be able to navigate it. The customer will also be able to see the current location of the drone. While the provider can view all the details on its website or on the GUI of the flight controller on its device. Vendor will also be able to receive the live video footage from drone.

Benefits of the Project

We are mainly inspired to make a medicine delivery system using VTOL model which will help to make Medicine delivery and first aid system more efficient and reliable. We are going to make this VTOL Model so that we can help in making medicine delivery system:

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

We are looking forward to give a software/ hardware integrated system. In software we shall deliver a mobile app which will be used by user to place order and a website which will be used by vendors and users, both will be able to place order from website while vendors will receive notification as any user places order from vendor’s virtual pharmacy.

In hardware we shall make a VTOL which will be controlled by laptop or pc by vendor. Vendor will give coordinates and routes towards the destination and will also provide the return path to drone using mission planner from ardu-pilot.
