MECHSAZ is an Android-based application that allows customers to connect with mechanics when customers need their vehicle to get repaired. Customers can request mechanics to come to his or her location or can use online assistance if needed. The mechanic receives a request on this application and goes to the location of the customer by using GPS and provides services to the customer. Customers can schedule maintenance appointments with mechanics. This application notifies the customer for quality check of their vehicle from its previous repair log. If there is any conflict that occurs between the customer and the mechanic this application provides help in solving the issue through live communication. After each service customer and mechanic provide feedback on each other whereas, the customer can also choose star ratings for the mechanic. A customer can view an offline dictionary to see repair solutions for their vehicle. This application also comes in handy when a customer needs medical, or vehicle help in case of an accident A web portal is provided for the admin to access the Database through Firebase to add or remove users or can update data.

Project Objectives

The project aims to provide every vehicle owner with the ease and comfort they deserve.  The objective we intend to achieve is customers get mechanical services wherever they are and whenever they need them. This project provides features other than simply getting help from the mechanic such as the customers can get online assistance, schedule appointments, and receive help medical or vehicle in case of an accident. The goal is to provide the best search for mechanics near the customer and on the other hand, the mechanics get financial benefits as well.

Project Implementation Method

As this application is developed using Incremental model of Software engineering. All the members are assigned with their specified tasks, and they all are working on them. After that all the work is combined at one place. Different iterations of application are released having some amount of work done by all the members. Every next iteration has some new working functionalities or bug fixes than the previous one.

Benefits of the Project

When it comes to vechicle maintenance, every vehicle owner must go through a lot from taking their vehicle for maintenance, waiting for their turn, and then having services for their vehicle. This all also demands a lot of time. In this era of the internet and smartphones mostly everything is done on smartphones. So, we want that our vehicle owners should not face many difficulties and they can take vechicle maintenance services for their vehicles over their location. Moreover, you can also call the mecahnic for vehicle maintenance on remote areas like Highways and Motorways, where we do not have any maintenence shops. Customers can also get ease in maintenance over such remote areas.

The main objective of this project is to help vehicle owners to take vechicle maintenance services for their vehicles at their specified place and their specified time. Owners can also have online assistance under the supervision of a mechanic. The owner can also set an appointment with a mechanic for repair. The owner will then pay for the services to the mechanic.

Through this project, mechanics can have the opportunity to promote their businesses and can earn more by giving different maintenance services.
