In which 39,823 were fatal accidents and 111,615 people were injured and 48,680 were died in the result. The  South  Asian  states  have  been  facing  grave  challenges  to  human Security. These regional and global factors are a menace and main hindrance in the progress and prosperity of this region. Pakistan lives in an environment lacking in human security. Our Project highlights the human security problems specific to Pakistan, though contextualized within broader human security challenges affecting South Asia and solutions to these challenges. Pakistan lives in an environment lacking in human security.

 Sometimes in the worst cases, peoples die during an accident, and their relatives stay unaware of the accident and the person’s death. So our project will make sure that the relatives stay aware of the person’s accident. Our main objective is that the relatives of a related person will get a call, message and location of an accident before the opening of the airbag. We will work at the backend to add the auto call system with airbag coding in automobiles. Our group of Five people of information sciences will do work to make sure this project meets with success.
Currently, Road accidents are rapidly increasing. So, we have to take a step regarding human security. Many times airbag saves a life of a person in accidents, but sometimes it fails to do so in a severe accident. Wouldn’t it be amazing if a relative of a person gets a call a few seconds before the opening of an airbag in an accident? This project lies in the thematic security area. Human security means saving every individual’s life. As civilized citizens and part of information sciences, it is our moral duty to work for human security.

Social Supportive Role:
 The focal point of this project is to provincially analyze traffic accidents in Pakistan. There are many types and causes of accidents. However, mostly accidents take place due to negligence which might and must have been avoided. A vast literature had reviewed to make this project more persuasive. Our research comprised of working on person died in accidents.  Results show that Punjab is dominant among all provinces in term of traffic accidents. Additionally, C.V. shows Punjab as most consistent province regarding traffic accidents. Research shows significant mean difference between all provinces. At last, regression model shows positive relationship between total accidents and total vehicles involved in accidents.

Project Objectives

Human security is every human right. It doesn’t refer to the security of any state it is for every individual. Our project lies in the human security area. Many times the patient is unidentified due to face trauma after an accident. And the patient remains unidentified even after many days. It will be easy to identify him/her when his/her relatives will know about the accident. It will be easier with the location of an accident. When the accident occurs, the relatives will get a call, message, and location of the accident. The airbag opens at the specific vibration. The call will send at the lower vibration with that of an airbag so that the patient can get help as soon as possible. So this project is very important, and it will contribute to the security area. In the UK, this technology has already implemented, but in our country, we still need some way to identify patients in severe accidents. It is going to contribute to the development of Pakistan.

The main aim to capture in human security is personal security is a generally the feeling or state that occurs after sufficient measures are taken to delay, warn or deter possible event. The aim is always to protect from the risk of physical or material harm that endangers a person. It refers to the safety of human beings–which can look different for men, women, girls and boys–and the ways in which they are enabled to live a full and productive life with dignity, without feeling afraid or at risk. Personal security is a generic concept that captures many real and perceived experiences of households and individuals. To be safe on roads is right of every Pakistani individual. Our project will make sure the personal security as we will try to save every individual’s life through emergency call.

Project Implementation Method

In first two months, we do deep research and analysis of our project plan. We do research and analysis about the coding of the air bag system in cars, how the airbag system works when an accident happens and the airbags open. Then we do research and analysis of the e-call system which is using in the cars of European countries. After this, we do research and analysis of the GPS system in cars. Then we do research and analysis about the sensor motion system of cars, how the sensor motion system senses the vibration of impact when an accident happens. Then we do research and analysis of the Graphical User Interface (GUI).

In next two months, we make the design about our project plan and then start development according to our research and design of our analysis. We make the design about the coding of the airbag system in cars, how the airbag system works when an accident happens and the airbags open and then develop the coding of our planned project. Then we make the design of an automatic call system when an accident happens, the call will be done on specific vibration then we develop the call system in cars through the GPS system in cars. Then we make the design about the sensor motion system of cars and develop it according to our planned project. Then we design and develop the Graphical User Interface (GUI).

In last two months, we implement all our design, development, research and analysis. If our implementation is done then we do test about our implementation. If our testing is not satisfiable then we do our implementation again till all the flaws will not remove in our implementation. After the testing pass then we do maintenance of our whole project.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Steering Angle Sensor

The steering angle sensor (SAS) determines where the driver wants to steer, matching the steering wheel with the vehicle's wheels. Located within the steering column, the steering angle sensor always has more than one sensor packaged together in a single unit for redundancy, accuracy, and diagnostics.

All these sensors worked together to pass a signal to the circuit board, so that a call can be generated to the person to whom we have to inform. So, the following device is used for this purpose

Plans for Dissemination: 

As we mentioned earlier, our main goal is to work for our human security area. We will collect all the data required for the project. This will include data about airbag coding, a navigation system, and a call system.
