Library Manager is an android app with an interactive user interface. With a user-friendly interface, created with android tools and database this project is implemented as an application in phone. This is an android-based application which will hold the records of books allotted to the students and will save the data and information about the books and students. There will be accounts of students and the books allotted the students will be shown and can be updated any time. The book information could be (book name, author, edition, and publisher. If any student has returned the book then it will be deleted from the database and will be updated or if a student is allotted with a book, it will be saved. There will be options of Login and Signup, Student details and history, Book availability. Students Can search book by title, can update information of anything, can increase quantity of book, can decrease, can delete a book.
Project Objectives
The main objectives would be:
1. To have a an evidence of number of books allotted to students.
2. To make easiness for the library staff to know the books given or returned by the students.
3. To add, delete or edit the information without any worry.
4. To have a complete database system.
Project Implementation Method
First of all the knowledge is required to implement in the project, the knowledge about who is going to use the project, which functions we have to add, and what methods are required to implement these functions in a real time project. Then we will add the books which are going to be allotted and their information so that if we search for a book by title, it will be there.
Benefits of the Project
The benefit of having a management system of library is that we do not have to write in a paper about the students who have been allotted for books but we will have a system which will hold the records of students with particular books. In traditional system writing on a paper will be outdated now, we can not edit that and save for lifetime. But in this project we can add, edit, and delete the information about the students and books as well.
Technical Details of Final Deliverable
1. Prototyping:
The phase after communication, requirement gathering, it is prototyping. The prototype will be used to show how the project will work.
2. Android Developement:
The developement will be done by using Java language in Android studio where we will implement the methods to create an android app.
3. Creating Databases:
As we will have to save the information about books and students so we will use create a database where the added and editted data will be saved.
4. Tools And Languages:
Android Studio will be used for developement of this project and Java language will be used also xml codes will bw written and the functions of buttons, textfields etc will be used.
