Legal Consultancy Portal (LCP) is intended to provide the users a platform for getting information about law, its articles and sections. Moreover, the portal will provide the lawyers to register for entertaining consultancy requests from their potential clients and give appointments. The general public will be able to get appointment from lawyers and give feedback after a successful transaction through the portal. Last but not least the portal will provide a recommendation feature to potential clients based on users’ feedback. Thus the peoposed system will provide following three modules,

1. The admin module will provide the content management and configuration,
2. The lawyer module will enable lawyers to manage their profiles and appointments
3. The public website will enable users to register and book appointments.

Project Objectives

1. To facilitate the citizens to get access to legal experts
2. To facilitate lawyers to reach more clients using web.
3. To provide legal information to citizens.
4. To develop an Electronic Legal Consultancy Records (ELCR) for lawyers.
5. To provide a laywer recommender system for general public/citizens.

Project Implementation Method

The proposed system will be developed using RAD model which supports rapid development and deployment of the software.

Rapid application development RAD is a software engineering process that utilizes technology aid for a rapid development of the software. It enhances the waterfall by speeding up the steps of SDLC.

Benefits of the Project

The proposed system will provide electronic legal consultancy record management. The citizens will find a platform for finding legal information, book appointments and give feedback about services of the booked lawyer(s).

The following will be the deliverables of the proposed system:

1. The admin module
2. Lawyer Registration and profile management
3. User registration and profile management
4. Appointment management
5. Citizens’ feedback and rating of lawyers.
