The toner is transferred to a piece of paper and fixed by a heating process. Laser Machines have opened endless possibilities for home production and rapid prototyping. You can easily create practically any model and print it.
Until recently, in order to make a circuit board for a prototype, you had to make it using a soldering iron, or order a short production run. However, many of us can make it using a conventional iron. However, this process is not very pleasing aesthetically or technologically.
Here we would like to present another method to use Laser CNC Machine. With this type of CNC Machine, we can make PCB conductive track, pads and other features etched from one or more sheet layers of copper laminated onto and/or between sheet layers of a non-conductive by a heating process.
Project ObjectivesOur objective is to design a system which is capable to perform task very precisely according to the instruction under complete safety environment and to save the time of the user.
For this purpose, we designed a Laser PCB Machine which is actually a CNC Machine, using Laser for engraving and cutting. We can make PCB conductive track with this Machine. This Laser Machines have opened endless possibilities for home production of PCB boards which mechanically supports and electrically connects electrical components using conductive tracks.

- Linear motion: We are using lead screw 8" pitch 0.08334" mechanism in our Laser PCB Machine to achieve linear motion in both X & Y axes with the help of Stepper motors nema 23.
- Controlling: we are using ARDUINO UNO R3 for controlling mechanism with the help of CNC shield, Stepper motor driversCW5045 stepper motor driver for nema 23 stepper motor and dual channel 24v Relays.
- Etching: For the purpose of etching we use Laser 2500mW having wavelength of 450nm.
- Aluminum bed 1.5x1.5 ft.
