KinoCric Cricket Bowling Action Analysis through Digital Markers
KinoCrick is a project which will analyze the cricket bowler's action as valid or invalid. It will calculate the bowling action without any wearable devices as opposed to the existing systems used by ICC (International Cricket Council). The existing systems work on wearable devices which faces two major issues such as 1) Controlled environment 2) Bias towards players’ performance intention. The initial implementation of our system showed positive results which is tested on bowlers in local cricket academies. Electronic media has also broadcasted a few shots of its initial implementation. It is intended to launch the product in the local cricket academies initially and for PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) after completion of the project. The project has the capacity to attract officials from ICC. This project is the cheapest solution available and it is quite lucrative to be marketed in the country where cricket is religiously followed.
The initial results are ready and the mock up modules are already tested. Further results will be evaluated in Academies and PCB. Which requires some more hardware for successful execution of the complete steps.
Cheap, Effective and marketable solution to the gross root cricket players of Pakistan as well as for the professional players of PCB. Currently, Pakistan does not have any such facility.
