Project Summary

This project is based on react-native mobile applications. The purpose is to search jobs in your selected area using maps in the application. With the help of that selected area in the map, it ables to find the job ads in that area from Indeed.com job portal. 

User can authenticate in the application by mobile number and should by verified after entering verification code that will receive on given mobile number.

User can also authenticate using Facebook login.

Project Objectives

The graduate students, who pass out from the universities and remain in search of suitable jobs in their desired location. And keeps visiting newspapers aur relevant job finder sites that is quite difficult.

Our JobSee application enables the user to search relevant job in their desired selected area using maps in the application.

It is quite easier rather than other applications and sites of this field.

Project Implementation Method

• The existing sites relevant to our project idea are visited and studied in detail.
• Requirements are gathered about our project idea.
• Started using expo libraries in react-native that are able to run on both android and iOS platforms.

Benefits of the Project

• JobSee is a react-native based mobile application that enables the user to run on Android OS as well as iOs OS.
• It is very easy to search jobs in you selected area in the map.
• User can like job ads showing in the selected area by just swiping right and can dislike by swiping left. Liked jobs can be stored for the long time.
• User can also authenticate using Facebook account.
• It is more secure, user is verified by a verfication code sent to user's given mobile number.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

• Project JobSee is react-native based.
• Firebase database is used for storing user's mobile numbers and verification code.
• Services from Twilio.com are purchased for sending verfication code to newly signed up users.
• Services from Indeed.com are purchased from job ads.
• For getting access to google maps, Google Map Platforms are used.
