IoT home automation is the ability to control domestic appliances by electronically controlled, internet-connected systems. It may include setting complex heating and lighting systems in advance and setting alarms and home security controls, all connected by a central hub and server. 

IOT or internet of things is an upcoming technology that allows us to control hardware devices through the internet. Here we propose to use IOT in order to control home appliances, thus automating modern homes through the internet. 

Project Objectives

The main objective of the functions is to improve the quality of life and convenience in the home. Other goals are greater security and more efficient use of energy. The appliances are connected to internet which can be cntrolled automatically, manualy and also through voice recognition.

The main objective of home automation and security is to help handicapped and aged people that will enable them to control home appliances and alert them in critical situations.

Project Implementation Method

This system uses some loads to demonstrate as house lighting and a fan. security system and smokine sensing alarms in the house. Our user friendly interface allows a user to easily control the home appliances through the internet.

For this system we use microcontrollers.These microcontroller is interfaced with a wifi module to get user commands over the internet.

After receiving user commands over the internet, microcontroller processes these instructions to operate these loads accordingly and display the system status on an LCD display. Thus this system allows for efficient home automation over the internet.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

To understand IoT’s work in smart home automation, first, you need to understand IoT. The full form of IoT is the Internet of Things, and it is a technology that connects the devices with the internet where all devices remain connected with each other using the same network.

Technical details of this projects includes monitoring and controlling the devices remotely where all these are connected. using ir sensor, it will sense the person in the room and by ir temperature sensor, it will sense the body temperature of person and take input from user to switch on and off the AC.

It will also include security and street light system.
