IoT based Shopping Trolly: RFID AND NFC base Digital Shopping Trolly
This project targeted to reduce the line at a billing counter in a shopping center. The RFID reader will read the purchasing product when the customer put it into the cart, and the total amount of the bill will be displayed on the screen embedded in cart. In this way the customer can directly pay the bill at the counter and leave with the goods he/she has purchased. It will speed up the entire process of shopping, because there would be no line at the counter to scan all purchased items by customers.
Now a days shopping at big malls becoming a daily activity in metro cities. After purchase, at the billing counter cashier prepare the bill using barcode reader which is a time-consuming process and results in long queues. Considering all this we have implemented a system that can be used in shopping malls to solve the rush at the billing counter using RFID based shopping trolley.
Our proposed system will be used in large shopping malls. It will assist shopping in-person to minimize the considerable amount of time spent in shopping as well as cashier do not need to scan every single product.
The shopping cart is an innovative consumer purchasing product that is designed to help shopping fast, track their shopping experience. The concept of this smart cart will revolutionize the purchasing experience of every buyer.
The smart shopping cart will help shorten the checkout lines in that way helping the customers at shopping stores. All purchased products will be scanned by the customer when he/she will put them in the cart and the LCD screen on the shopping cart will keep updating the total. After completing shopping, the customer should press the upload button at the cart to send the bill amount to the counter section and then go to the counter and simply pay the bill without waiting in a long queue.
