Project Area of Specialization Mechatronics EngineeringProject SummaryThe main idea of this project is the monitoring and control of a rotary machine using data acquistion through vibration sensors and its signal processing on a remote server. Furthermore, the system will be able to auto trip in case of emergency. The control will be available through a mobile app and also through a website with different levels of authorization for different members.
Project Objectives- Design and fabrication of a demonstration rotatory machine.
- Acquisition and signal processing of machine's vibration data.
- Transfer of digital data to remote server for continous monitoring of machine condition.

- Auto tripping of the machine in emergency conditions.
1. Design and fabrication of rotary machine i.e. hardware of the project.

Benefits of the ProjectThe project will be beneficial in industry 4.0 where every machine is smart i.e. can be controlled through the internet. It will help diagnose faults in the machine and can also reduce maintainance costs due to in time detection and repair of the fault.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableFor the sensors, industrial accelerometers will be used for the detection of vibrations. For the actuators, we will use a dc motor that will run a system on which we have to perform vibration analysis. An NI data acquisition card (DAC) will be used for data acquisition and an stm discovery kit will be used as the IOT module.
