Health monitoring is the major problem in today’s world. Due to lack of proper health monitoring, patient suffer from serious health issues. There are lots of IoT devices now a days to monitor the health of patient over internet. Health experts are also taking advantages of these smart devices to keep an eye on their patients. Health is the most important part of any human’s life without health it is useless to any treasure of life. The IoT Based Health Care System is cheapest healthcare device based on the IOT platform for the patients and doctors. Our system is designed to be used in hospitals and homes also for monitoring various parameters like temperature, ECG, heart rate, blood pressure. The results can be recorded using Arduino. Also the doctors can see those results on android app.
To design a Patient Monitoring System with two-way communication.
To track patient’s location at any point in time through Google Maps which would enable to send medical services in case of an emergency for patients.
To measure temperature, blood pressure, ECG, and heart rate through sensors.
To collect data from sensors by using Arduino.
To design and develop android application as an interface for patient and doctor.
To make communication between android application and Arduino by using Wifi/bluetooth module.
To store data in Firebase database center for future use.
IoT patient monitoring has 3 sensors. The first one is a temperature sensor, the second is the blood pressure sensor and the third one is ECG sensor. This project is very useful since the doctor can monitor patient health parameters through android app. First of all we have to make communication between Arduino and android app using Bluetooth/Internet, to operate IoT based health monitoring system project, you need a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection. The Arduino UNO board continuously reads input from these 3 senses. Then it sends this data to the cloud by sending this data to a particular IP address. Then this action of sending data to IP is repeated after a particular interval of time.
the main benefit of the project is IoT can make healthcare cheaper and efficient in the future. It can help in the creation of more customized and patient-oriented equipment. Moreover, IoT will also enable patients to get better access to data, personalized care; thus, leading to fewer visits to the hospital. also other benefits are that it allows for the accurate collection of data, decreased costs, also improved disease management and allows patients to be monitored in the comfort of their own homes. Sensors are installed onto various pieces of medical apparatus (e.g. heart rate monitors) by the bedside of a patient.
This system can be used to transmit the patient vital parameter information in real-time to remote location and can be seen by the care taker. healthcare programs help people live healthier, more independent and stable lives, with fewer crises and hospitalizations.
The patient can check their health status anytime from the comfort of their homes and visit hospitals only when they really need to. This can be done by using our system whose result are brought online and can be seen from anywhere around the world.
The doctors can also use the log of the patient body condition to study and determine the effect of medicine or other such things.
