Co-vid not only symbolizes a deadly disease but on top of that it is also a contagious disease. This pandemic resulted in shortage of hospital bed capacity, hospital staff, ICU beds and even ventilators. With the enhancement of technologies in various fields, our lives are directed towards intelligent and smarter devices.
With the co-vid patient health monitor, the less critical co-vid patients can stay and monitor their vitals from home which will decrease the spread rate of the coronavirus. The patient can monitor his/her pulse rate, temperature and oxygen levels via this device. If the vitals go above or below the average value an alert will be sent to a health care professional who can further guide the patient at home.
Project ObjectivesTo achieve the aim of introducing self-monitoring to the co-vid patient there are several objectives that need to be achieved:
- To keep track of all the vitals, by doing sensor based vital detection.
- Provide the temperature, pulse and oxygen readings of the patient under quarantine.
- Generate a graph depending upon the vitals of the patient.
- Android application so that healthcare professionals can monitor remotely.
Display the sensor readings on oled and the application.
Project Implementation MethodWe will be using the incremental modela the mode of implementation. It works on the cycle of communicate, plan, model, construct and deploy.
The patient can chech his/her vitals using sensors that will be coded using arduino ide and node mcu, and that data can be seen on the screen with the help of thingspeak and android studio application.
