well as land on which crops are being grown. It also cost a lot. So, there must be such a solution to prevent effects of pesticides and to increase crop growth. We are designing such a system that is capable of performing these functions. By generating light pattern in random order to attract pests and by using image processing techniques we are preventing crops from pests without using pesticides.
So, an efficient way is to kill pest without pesticide. We propose a network in which different patterns of UV, blue, white, Yellow light are used to lure insects into the intelligent trap as insects are attracted more on lights with short wavelengths and high frequencies and vice a versa. A small camera is attached that captures the picture of pest with the help of image processing it identifies that the pest is harmful or beneficial. If it is harmful then high Electrode potential is pass through the metallic rod which immediately kills the pest. If they are not harmful then no high Electrode potential is passed. The main target of the project is to detect the pest through image and pass the high voltage through the rod in case they cause harm to crops and field.

The aim of the project is to kill pest without using pesticides because it is harmful to human health as it causes dangerous diseases such as lymphoma, leukemia, brain cancer etc.

Project Implementation MethodThis is a HW/SW integrated system thats consist of the following components/equipments.
- RGB Lights
- camera
- microprocessor
- bug zapper
In this intelligent light trap , a bug zapper with multi color lights and electrodes are fixed in farm. a dynamic pattern of lights attract insects toward trap. when insects come near trap camera (capture images after specific interval of time ) took images and match with database. if the insect or pest is harmful then current will pass through electrode and kill the insects on spot if the insect is not harmful then these insects will be driven away using repelling light pattern.
Benefits of the Project- the main advantage is to kill pest without using pesticides because it is harmful to human health as it causes dangerous diseases such as lymphoma, leukemia, brain cancer etc.
- it is cost efficient because According to research in 2019, around $70 are required for per acre land which is quite
expensive. - with exessive use of pesticides hinder the crop growth and also effect quality as well.
As for equipments the following equipments are required
- camera : for taking pictures after specific interval of time
- bug zapper with light circuit: to lure insects toward zapper
- microprocessor: for identifying wether insects are harmful or not if harmful then activate electrodes else repel insetcs
