As the number of car purchased increases, the theft rate as well as the accident rates also increases. The current car alarming systems uses remote control which sometimes uncomfortable to carry and not much safe. We propose a smart system for those cars that don’t have a secure system. The system allows the users to monitor and control their vehicles using the Android application on your smart phone. Also, the blind spot detection to the driver for proper driving to reduce the chances of accidents. The mobile controlled smart car system can provide an effective two-way communications between the alarm system or smart lock system and the car owner. This system can notify the car owner immediately when intrusion is detected. Additionally, the car owner can control the car locking system.
If the car is not locked, then owner can easily start the engine, locate his car and control any car feature by using a mobile app. But if the car is locked then the engine will not start until it is unlocked. Also, if the intruder wants to unlock the car, then the vehicle's alarm has been activated and alert message received by the owner immediately at any place.
The system block diagram is proposed in fig1.

The major aim of the project is to design smart car security and safety system that can reduce the accident as well as theft rate in our country. Some features that we are going to cover are, Anti-theft system, car locking system, Vehicle real time monitoring and tracking, engine ignition start using an android application.
The key objectives are stated here:
- To design an app that will monitor the car.
- To develop a blind spot warning system for drivers to take the decision accordingly and avoid the accidents.
- Design and develop a system that reduces the chances of accidents and to make the vehicle safe and secure.
Our project is based on the two way communication between the owner and a car, for that we created an android app that interface with car and monitor the different features of car. To make the app private, a fingerprint recognition has been used, if the unauthentic user tries to access an app, it will sends a warning message to the app users. Also, if an unauthentic person tries to unlock a car, owner will get notified and he can lock his car using an app. If the authentic person uses an app then he will be able to lock and unlock his car, start the engine and also turn the car AC on and off by using android app. For the blind spot detection system, if the distance is maintained between the two cars then driver can easily follow his destination but if not then he will get the warning indication and to avoid the accident he will change his path accordingly.

The most prominent benefit of the smart car system is safety and security of vehicles. Vehicle robbery is potentially the quickest developing type of wrongdoing in Pakistan, it is necessary to develop a system that provides the secure and safe environment for public vehicles. The demand for an auto guard system is augment. The system provides the safety and security for public vehicle, this will make the peaceful cities and communities.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe final product is the car controlling system that is embedded on the cars and controlled by the android application on user’s smart phone. The Arduino mega is used that is connected with an android app using a Bluetooth and relay module provides the commands to the car locks, AC and engine control. The shock sensor is connected with the controller that gives the input to the controller whenever the intrusion is detected, then the user gets notified by the warning message. An embedded system is provided along with an android app and an access to the users of an app.
