Our landmarks are our assets that can attract thousands of tourists that can generate a lot of income. Unfortunately these assets are continuously neglected due to many reasons which include lack of interests, funds, technology and skilled man power. We don’t have any system that exists in digital form it is done through manual surveys and paper research. Existing system to solve these issues is lacking behind because it does not use advance technologies so it results in high costs and required too much man power. Through survey and research it is very difficult and requires a lot to of time and money. It is very important for our tourism sector to grow and revive. Tourism can generate many jobs and can help to revive economy. Our project can help tourism sector to increase the tourist volume in Pakistan by improving and preserving our historical landmark. Through image processing the proposed system can predict the conditions of these landmarks in future. It will predict the deterioration of these historical buildings based on negligence in maintenance, environmental changes and natural disaster we will create an android app and provide it for free to our users. Depending on multiple factors the system will predict the future conditions of the landmarks. Factors will be environmental changes, natural disasters, and lack of maintenance. The future conditions will be predicted base on these factors through image processing.

Project Objectives

Landmarks are preferred image features for a variety of computer vision tasks such as image mensuration, registration, camera calibration, motion analysis, 3D scene reconstruction, and object recognition

Project Implementation Method

Through image processing the proposed system can predict the conditions of these landmarks in future. It will predict the deterioration of these historical buildings based on negligence in maintenance, environmental changes and natural disaster we will create an android app and provide it for free to our users.

Benefits of the Project

The intended application will make the user at zero cost. In other words, cost friendly, budget friendly. No time limit, this application can work at any time with internet. Intended Users of the Product Users with android mobile phone with having email, Facebook or other information accounts can use this application.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The final deliverable of " Identification of landmarks" will be an android based application along with documentation manual having all technical details of the application. It will be developed in Java along with Firebase database. We will develop a image processing api that we will integrate with our andorid application. The application will be compatible with android api version 21 and above.
