Human to Human Interface
Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryAn exciting, new technological development has to deal with the science and research into neuroprosthetics. A neuroprosthetic is a device that replaces the function of a damaged body part and interfaces with the nervous system – think of the body suit that Iron Man wears and the new prosthetic devices that are being 3-D printed for use for kids with malformed limbs. These devices can be controlled by the person using them just by thinking about what they want to do, like writing or holding onto something. These devices are controlled in such a way so there is an interface with the nervous system to make the prosthetic work. There are many reasons why this research is so exciting. One has to do with how to help people with spinal cord injuries. Currently, if someone damages their spinal cord above a certain point, they are confined to a wheelchair .The interesting thing is that even though the spinal cord is damaged, the muscles in the person’s limbs are still “alive” and can function, but they need to receive information from somewhere to be able to move. With a damaged spinal cord, the information being sent from the brain does not reach the limbs. This is where neuroprosthetics comes into play. Imagine if you could send a signal from the brain directly to a prosthesis, and have it work!! There is currently research out there where this is actually happening. Another method of controlling artificial limbs is by using the electrical activity generated by pectoral or quadriceps muscles to control the sensors and motors right in the robotic arm or leg.
Project Objectives•The aim of this project is to control one person with another. Its quit interesting to think that we can control other person arm.
•It can be very helpful in multiple application for person who can’t move there body part.
•It can be very helpful in physiotherapy .
•It can reduce the feelings of pain and prevent them from coming back in the future.
Project Implementation MethodThe electrical nature of the brain allows not only for sending of signals, but also for the receiving of electrical pulses. These can be delivered in a non-invasive way using a technique called transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). A TMS device creates a magnetic field over the scalp, which then causes an electrical current in the brain. When a TMS coil is placed over the motor cortex, the motor pathways can be activated, resulting in movement of a limb, hand or foot, or even a finger or toe.
Aims & Scope. Neuroscience is the archetypal multidisciplinary science encompassing a variety of fields that share the common goal of attempting to provide a complete understanding of the structure and function of the central nervous system.
• Neural engineering uses engineering techniques to interact with, understand, repair, replace, or enhance neural systems • People do not perform sustained, simultaneous, multichannel sampling well; however, they have great capacity to manage concurrent activities when given specific kinds of interface support.

•We will able to re-educate the dead muscles.
•We can apply it on paralyze people for recover the muscles.
•We can use it for the muscle exercising purpose.
•We will be able to record the electrical activity of the muscles
Technical Details of Final DeliverableHuman-Human Interface is ready with all of the materials you'll need to connect yourself with another person. It comes with an Arduino microcontroller (it's like a small, easily programmable computer). Plugged onto the Arduino is our Spiker shield, which lets the Arduino understand the signals coming out of your body. With this you can see the electricity in your muscles as they move, but more importantly, use them as a signal to turn on the stimulator.
