Project Summary
Cyber Security is not just an IT problem, but a people and business problem. 95 percent of all security incidents involve human error. That’s why cyber security awareness training is important that is equipping people with the knowledge and education they need to protect themselves from criminal elements. We want to build a solution (web-portal) based on the model of “Hour of Code”. This portal will contain posters, short clip videos, games, lectures and also guidelines to arrange one “hour of cyber security”. Attendees of “hour of cyber security” will do many of the activities on their own and many activities will include lesson plans for teachers. People from security background will be able to create and upload material for “hour of cyber security” on this portal. All the material will be freely available for everyone.
There will be pre and post surveys to analyze the impact of the activities. Machine Learning and AI will be used to analyze the pre survey and show the activities based on that survey.
Project Objectives
The aim of this portal is to empower and equip people with the knowledge and skills to enable them to defend themselves, in the event of a cyber-attack.
This will also aware people with the ethics and laws of cyber world.
Project Implementation Method
The system will be implemented using web development languages such as html, css, javascript and php and their frameworks such as bootstrap, angular js and code-ignitor. Cognitive science will be used in order to evaluate the users based on pre survey. For this research will be done to make a machine learning model that evaluates users knowledge about cyber security.
All the development of these components heavily depends on different research studies. We are identifying three most import studies as: First, study of behaviors of various samples from masses which would be accomplished be designing and conducting various surveys. Second, study of different aspects of challenges, laws and policies of cyber security is also necessary. Our development will take these two important studies. Third, study of user experience and design of interactive education content.
Benefits of the Project
The project will enable people to recognize and avoid the cyber-attacks, scams and other frauds happening in today’s cyber world. This will also help to establish peaceful society and make people more cautious about their digital life and presence.
Technical Details of Final Deliverable
The final product will be a web-portal that will contain activities to arrange hour of peace. This portal will be hosted on amazon web cloud.
The “Hour of peace” available on world-wide web, though celebrated locally on various places, will act as a global campaign. This will be complete ICT based solution having two major planes: the front end -the masses and back end- the technology (ICT) and the intelligent algorithms.
The front end would be involving the masses to be connected and gathered at place of their choice( room, home, community place, class-room or a hall) and learn through interactive tools ( games, graphics, illustrations, AVs etc). The masses can also learn at their own pace and place and time.
The back end involves the development of interactive tools (games, graphics, illustrations, AVs etc) as well as the intelligent algorithms to find points of conflict among users; possibilities connect people for learning and educating.
