Project Summary

HOTDEALSPK is a web-based application that aim at providing a single platform where user can find deals from multiple vendors at the same place and compare the prices. The system will not only help to find an optimal deal to the users and customers but will also decrease their search time to navigate through multiple systems from a single platform. All the users need will be fulfilled in our web-based application. HOTDEALSPK will be very beneficial for both the customers and the vendors and will ease the life of customer. The methodology which we will use in our project will be FDD in agile.  In big and complicated projects, feature driven development has shown to be quite effective. We will craw/scrap data of deals from different ecommerce websites and provide it in single platform. All the scrap data will be stored in a data base in proper organized form. The tools that we are using for the backend is python, PHP and MYSQL and for frontend we will be using HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.

Project Objectives

• To craw/scrap data of deals from different e-commerce websites
• Reprocess data to store in database in an organized form
• To develop a web-based system that can be used by the both, the customers and vendors
• To develop and integrate web-based GUI with backend
• To test and evaluate the system

Project Implementation Method

Feature-driven development in Agile is the approach that will be employed in our project. In big and complicated projects, feature driven development has shown to be quite effective. Feature driven development has a flexible framework and a smart methodology.

Feature Driven Development   

The FDD phases that will be examined in our project are as follows:

• The first step is to create an overarching model: This is the first phase of FDD, during which the project’s scope is determined. It will determine what this project is and what functionality it will provide.    
• The second step is to create a feature list: This phase lays the groundwork for the subsequent stages. We will identify features by examining the model in this step.   
• The third process is Plan by features: The third phase is the most significant, since it is here that the project’s planning begins. All of the information acquired in the previous step will be recorded. Each module will be provided an estimated completion time. Other charts, such as a Gantt chart, may be utilized.   
• Design by feature is the fourth process: This phase necessitates more accuracy in the design of a system by feature. Each module will have a sequence diagram created so that any errors in functioning may be corrected. 
• Build by feature is the fifth process: This is the last step, during which the technical aspect is put into effect. Following the design process, functionalities will be added one by one. This project will be tested and debugged after it is finished.

Benefits of the Project

• Our system will fulfil the users need by fetching the details from different e-commerce systems and compare the deal on a single platform.
• On this platform the customers can do comparison of the different products provided by the different vendors. It will eventually save time and money of the customer.
• Customer can search multiple products and can also order multiple products of his interest.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

we will deliver a website platform in which the customer can easily find their product that they want to purchase. The purchasing will be easy for the customer, they just have to search the product of their interest and in best discount deals it will be provided to them. The main scope of our project is that it will fulfil the users need by fetching the details from different e-commerce systems and compare the deal on a single platform. That will enable the user to buy a product on cheap/economical price from the market. It will eventually save time and money of the customer.
