Pakistan where 38% of its population is struggling middle class providing, an application or platform to that society where they can earn or save some money will definitely be beneficial.
We are creating an application where a person who has an unused room or place can host a guest for some money. Our Project is similar in many ways to apps providing Guests and Host experience like Airbnb, Roomorama, and Flipkey but we are adding new features keeping in mind the psychology of Pakistani people. Our app will predict the safe area for the user by previous guest’s ratings and we will try to provide Google map integration which will tell the user what shops and facilities are near the area they are looking for accommodation.
We have decided to make our project less complex by keeping in mind our resources and technical knowledge. Our application will only be available for android users. We are developing our application on android studio with XML for frontend development (user interface), java for backend development and MySQL for database. By designing and developing a real-world problem will not only solve that
problem but this will also help us to know how these two fields work together and how deep they are. Working in a team is not easy as it requires teamwork, effective communication amongst group members; as a result, we will be able to enhance skills like communicating effectively for the desired result, leading the members to the right direction.
The goal of the proposed project is to provide safe and affordable places to travellers who are traveling to Pakistan or traveling in Pakistan and to cope and facilitate the increasing number of travellers. The main goal is to provide accommodations to travellers, which is a huge part of anyone’s travel journey. Pakistan is clearing its image as a terrorist country step by step and this is only the beginning for Pakistan because the world’s most-followed and reputable magazines and societies are encouraging people to visit Pakistan on their next journey. After the British Backpackers Society (BSS) visit to Pakistan, they ranked Pakistan as the number one travel destination in 2018. Forbes also described Pakistan as one of the coolest places to go in 2019, the award-winning luxury and lifestyle travel magazine Conde Nast Traveler ranked Pakistan as number one in his list of “Best Holiday Destinations for 2020” also mentioned Pakistan’s popular travel spots, ancient valleys, and relaxed visa restrictions. By working on Pakistan’s travel and tourism industry and fulfilling the basic needs of travellers like accommodations, we can also decrease Pakistan’s unemployment rate. According to the report of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) in 2019, the contribution of travel and tourism to the economy of Pakistan is 5.9% which are PKR 2,285.8BN and the sector also created 3881.9 jobs (6.2% of the total employment) growth of travel and tourism GDP in 2019 was 4.7%.
When you are studying the complex dynamics of the tourism industry, upon breaking the international travel and tourism spending, international tourism spending accounts are only 7% of the entire, whereas domestic spending is really the bulk, contributing 93%. This is a perfect start line for Pakistan. The Pakistani population is estimated to be 212 million with a growth rate of 2.1% and a growing middle class of 38% which does not have an ease to international travels. This huge percent of the middle class is with the price of hotel rooms in their travel journey. Our application will not only provide them the affordable prices for their accommodations but also will be a source of income to those people who have an unused room/house dying in the dust.
Project Implementation MethodWe use android studio for development and keeping in mind our resources and technical skills. We are providing our application only to android users keeping in mind the time required to complete our project and our skills.

With this feature users can register their selves and login by filling the necessary details asked in the application in order for the application perform with its full potential.

Stimulus: User enters specific keywords for search in search box.
Response: Application will provide the list of accommodations according to the keywords with basic information about the listed accommodations.
