The priority will rely on reliability, efficiency, cost-effectiveness of the sources, if any of one sources is not available or any source is not working sufficiently, than the geyser will switch to other available sourcesource among the listed sources. Although, if two sources are available at a time, than the geyser will be switch automatically on the basis of cost and priority. The system is self-regulating. If water temperate at high degree than geyser will be switched off by itself. The most feasible benefit of geyser is, we can intervene the status through notification or mail on our mobile phone through GSM.
Project ObjectivesObjective.
- Difficulty to get Hot water in remote areas:
Northern areas and other under-developed areas face load sheding frequently. So these areas do not have enough resources to get hot water. Our aim is to develop a hybrid geyser so to reduce pain and miseries people of these areas face to get hot water.
- Cost effective:
If we use each geyser with specific source than it require high cost, so hybrid geyser contain four sources which ultimately reduce our cost.
- Reducing CO2 emission;
If we use wood and gas to get hot water than the emission of CO2 pollute our environment, that’s why
Hybrid geyser is designed to control the emission of CO2.
- So a hybrid geyser is also a solution to reduce deforestation.As in remote areas, people cut trees for heating water for daily use.
For saving the nonrenewable source, maintaining the efficiency and making cost effective we are proposing a hybrid geyser that will be operated on priority basis. The priority will be in the following order:
- Solar
- Line gas
- LPG (propane)
- Electricity (wapda)
Different sensors will be installed like temperature, pressure sensor, and flow sensor, for helping to automatically switch between sources. A GSM module will be integrated with aurduino to inform the user about the status of the hybrid geyser.

The work is divided in two phase:
For the first phase number of sensors will be interfaced with the arduino enviornment and simulation will be done.
In the second we will work on the final prototype of the project.

We are going to develop a hybrid geyser which will wave automatic switching between different sources depending upon the priorities.
1: CT sensor will measure the amount of current and will send data to arduino for solar power and wapda.
2: Pressure sensor and gas flow sensor will detect and measure the parameters of LPG and line gas.
3: Consequently the Temperature sensor will continuously determine the the temperatue of water. after the set is reached all power sources will be turned off.
4: From the data given by these sensors and transducer our program wil:
- Control the geyser
- Switch between sources
- Deliver the status through GSM module.
