in summary the gwvt is valid power plant setuo to generate lectricity at low head based on the results obtai from simulaton and experiment.ir is concluded a taller blade is able harness more energy from the vortex compare to a shorter blade besides that the blade should be design in such away that it will not disrupt the vortex after sumberging into the vortex.therefore the amount of energy extracted by the turbine is not equivalent with the amoount of water filling up the basin.Also in this project the diameter of orifice is changed and its effect on the water head and turbine speed is measured.the smaller the diameter of the orifice greater the vortex height and the turbine speed increases to certain level.
ØTo fabricate a scale down model of (GWVPP) gravitational water vortex power plant with cylinderical & conical basin to perform experimentation.
ØTo investigate & compare the experimental & CFD results with published Data of cylinderical & conical basin.
project is implemented by using frame of metal and two same sizes of rectangular tanks and fabricate two basin such as cylindrical and conical for converting mechaniacl energy into electrical energy we use alternater of fx car which not availabe easy we pay high of such alternater and we use voltmeter and tachometer for experimenation for flow rate control we use wall of 2" of metal we also compare our results with computional fluid dynamic results to compare with existing data
