Friend or Foe Identification System is a kind of defense system use to distinguish between enemies and friend vehicle. And inform the upcoming threat by the help of transponder. It is done by the help of signal source attached with the targeted vehicle that generate the encrypted signals which is then received by the receiver. A receiver is attached with the weapon vehicle which decode the encrypted signal to identify either it is friendly vehicle or from enemies side and then make decision on the basis of these analysis

Project Objectives

1.Make communication between two or more machines.

2.To identify the targeted vehicle whether it is friend or enemy from a certain distance by using IFF system.

3.With the help of AES encryption technique, we try to develop a system which distinguish between two different vehicles whether friend or foe.

4.Develop prototype of identification system with the help of symmetric key configuration.

Project Implementation Method

we use combination of hardware and software to implement this project. As this project is based on two part first part is ti generate an encrypted key codes that are sended to the coming vehicle for the identification either it is friend or foe. Second part is to recieve and transmisst this data with the help of wifi module and Laptop or PCs. So combination of both is required for the successfull implementation of project.

Benefits of the Project

There are multiple benifits of this project.

With the help of this we can identify betweeen friend or foe from dictance with any visual or physical contact and then based on that data we can decide what to do with the coming object.

Secondly it help to save lifes of our own soldier, with correct information, we do not hit our own soldier vehicle.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Our main objective in this project is to build a system that can distinguish an object timely and disarm the weapon to avoid collision to do damages of our own or we said friendly equipment’s. Friend or Foe Identification system is based on three main components. That are “Vehicle Mounted Main Unit, Vehicle Mounted inquiry front terminal, Vehicle Mounted Responding Front Terminal and Interface Adapter”.
