Project Area of Specialization Information & Communication TechnologyProject SummaryThis proposed project entitled “Final Year Project Proposal and Thesis Management System” will be a complete system for the management of final year projects. This system will be used by three categories of users i.e. Admin, teachers and students. This application will manage the complete process of project management from proposal submission till final results of the projects. This project will help teachers and students of SUCM, and will make the process of final year project management in efficient way. Proposed system will provide a lot of benefits to its users, such as faculty as well as students. Proposed system will give all the information required to get notified and perform actions at one place to students, project coordinator and respective supervisors. Admin will manage the complete system.
Project ObjectivesThe aim of this project is to provide a final year project proposal and thesis management system for SUCM because currently there is not any efficient website or final year project proposal and thesis management system available for SUCM.
The objectives of proposed project are listed as follow:
- To upload the details of successful previous projects by supervisors
- Listing of suggested project ideas provided by respective supervisors
- Search of project titles based on the area and field of interests
- To Review of suggested project title provided by faculty
- To Creation of project teams by the students
- To Submission of proposals by students
- To Checking of project proposals by supervisors
- Approval of project proposals by project team
- Evaluation submission of by teachers of individual students
- To provide password protected accounts for each user
- To provide a way so that the project/thesis can be posted or submitted in a well-mannered and efficient way.
- To keep the students informed with the latest news of campus regarding projects (i.e. Proposal or any other important news for projects).
After the sucessful development of proposed project, this application will be uploaded in the official domain od University of Sindh. At successful implementation, the conversion of manual project management will be transformed into the designed syystem will be transformed into the designed system. In the end, the monitoring of system will be performed to maintain the system's efficiency and removal of possible bugs.
Benefits of the ProjectThis project will benefit Sindh University Campus, Mirpur Khas in numerous ways. Initially, the system will aid teachers, students and project coordinators of campus in management of activities related to project development and supervision.
Moreover, the listing of possible project ideas, deadlines, and other related information can be communicated through this online platform.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe final deliverables of this proposed application are listed as follows.
1. A complete web portal for the stakeholders of Sindh University Campus, Mirpur Khas through which the future management of final year projects will be done through this application.
2. A project thesis that fulfills the requirements of the degree of Bachlors in Information Technology.
