Final Year Project Management System
The complete processes of Final year project are very difficult and require a lot of manual work. Declaration of supervisors, creating schedules, evaluating and Grading FYPS all these processes need a lot of manpower,a lot of paperwork and therefore all of them are very time consuming to overcome all these problems proper management and a workflow is required.By building a Final year project management system we can save a lot of time that is taken during all these procedures. It will also reduce unnecessary paperwork and will help students in choosing their FYP supervisors as well as their projects.
The way this project will work is we will have to insert all the previous year data into the database through the admin panel by the help of which it will be shown to the students and teachers in FYP records tab where it can be checked by any operator what projects have been made in the past. This project of ours will also be able to show the students which supervisors are available and which are assigned to the projects/groups which will make it easy for the students to select their supervisor other than that our project will also give the ability of marking and leaving comments on a project to supervisors and coordinator .
FYP management system will also help the students to check the rules, format, layouts for their assignments and projects and it will also be easy to check current year FYP committee and supervisors. FYP management system will also show the previous year award winning projects
Supervisors will be able to enter their suggested projects which will help students to select the appropriate project for their group
•After checking several methodologies, we decided best suitable methodology for our project would be Incremental and iterative model.
•The reason for choosing this methodology is because of the nature of the system that is going to be developed.
•This means that the functions of the systems are being built first so that the user can use it. The user will then be able to provide the feedback to us for the changes that are required.
•Since the requirements of the user is always changing, it would be wise to perform incremental on the system so that more functions can be added or change later.
