Project Summary

Now a days university forums are very common among the university students, faculty members and alumni. University Forums is online discussion group. University forums provide a common area for students, teachers, alumni to come together and discuss unlimited topics, including social activities and educational ideas

Allowed Participants can create new threads under different categories and post them on timeline, the other registered users and admin allowed to comment, like or dislike that post. Admin have authority to accept or block the users, most likes post can be added in favorite list etc. Users can view their personal details and they have access to change their password.

The main feature filtering abusive words added in comment part. If users make bad comment on other users post then that comment can be blocked by admin and not viewable on timeline.

Users can sort post on timeline according to most likes or recently updated options. This System helps for managing all thread/post, replies and like from users with proper well-structured flow.

Other feature of this system is the job recommendation. All the alumni and faculty members can post the jobs on the forum. The jobs can be ranked by popularity also the system can recommend the job to the specific student according the profile of the student. Admin can also verify the job and all fake jobs can be removed from the forum 

Project Objectives

Our main objective is to introduce a portal that will minimize barriers between the students and faculty enabling the formers to access their lectures from their comfort zone. Also a job portal will recommend the jobs to eligible candidates.

Project Implementation Method

                The system comprises of 4 major modules with their sub-modules as follows:

1. Admin:

1. Login: Canteen person need to login using valid login credentials to access the system.
2. Add Teacher: System allows admin to add teacher with their details such as name, email, contact, etc…
3. Approve Student / Alumni: Students/Alumni, who have registered themselves successfully, will be sent to admin for approval of an account. Once the admin approve the registration then only Student/Alumni can access their account.
4. Accept Thread: Whatever thread/post is added by the teacher/student/alumni will be first sent to admin for approval. Once admin approve the thread/post, it can be viewable to all.
5. View Thread: Admin can view all the accepted thread/post with its details and mark any thread/post as favorite.
6. Verify job: Admin can verify the jobs. Accept the authorized jobs and block the fake jobs.

1. Teacher:

1. Login: A Teacher need to login using valid login credentials to access the system.
2. Create/View Thread: A teacher can create a thread by mentioning the thread content, which will be sent to admin for approval. All the threads added by the teacher can be viewable once it is approved by the admin.
3. Post job : Teacher can do recommended  relevant  jobs based on Students Qualification criteria.

1. Alumni:

1. Register: Alumni can register.
2. Login: Alumni can login to view his previous course histories.
3. Create/View Thread: alumni will be able to create or edit his/her post.
4. Post job: Like a teacher, alumni will also be privileged to post jobs in portal.

Benefits of the Project

The proposed system will overcome various limitations as it will be portable and operable from home to an institution and will perform deep scan sentiment analysis.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Our system will provide a legitimate platform for the students to make their own respective forum discussion and suggestions while strictly ensuring the integrity by analyzing these forums for controversial comments and other spamming attacks.
