In this project we will working on Fetal heart rate monitoring. Since this is probably the first effort in Pakistan, it’s important to come up with a suitable TPP (Target Product Profile). In this regard, extensive literature survey and field visits will be performed. Usability is very important for a country like Pakistan where infrastructure and trained manpower is limited. There may be multiple TPPs based on different locations, manpower, uses and infrastructure considerations. We will get feedback from real potential users including healthcare staff at BHUs (Basic Health Units) and probably LHWs (lady health workers). Based on our study, a prototype may be developed keeping in view the time and resources although it may not be possible.We will also consider various options for such a device based on analysis and simulations. It will consist of a probe that contain a single or may be more transducer if required and amplifier. A waveform generator will be designed and a suitable frequency of i.e 2M Hz will be given. A signal will be generated .Transducer will convert electrical signal to acoustic signal that is allowed for testing of raw data obtained by mixing some noise with it.That signal will passes through the body tissues .Coming to receiving end a transducer will required to convert acoustic signal to electrical signal again, some amplification will be done to raise the voltage of signal. Signal is then allowed to passed through analogue to digital converter block .That received digital signal is then processed through matlab of any suitable software for converting that data to heart beat rate .Finally the result will be displayed on screen .In case of alarming situation system will be capable of showing the result or it will allow to refer to hospital in emergency

Develop analytical/numerical models to decide
Transducer will be incorporated apart from the sensor present in conventional stethoscope .The data from the probe will be then proceed by a system. The simulation and processing will be done on software the data then will be converted to heart rate form and then will be allowed to display on displaying unit
Fetal heart rate monitor is specially helpful if you have high risk pregnancy .your pregnancy is high risk if you have diabetes and high blood pressure it is also risky if your baby is not growing as it should.
It helps to check how preterm labor medicines are affecting your baby .According to the state of world population 2019 released on April 29 Pakistan’s maternal mortality rate may be down by 178 per100,000 .
In Pakistan rural areas there is no access of health care center and fees are very high in hospitals in that perspective fetal heart rate monitor overcomes the requirement in these areas effectively.
In community the 78% of death are due to direct causes and 21% due to indirect causes just because the proper monitoring is not done weak to weak or month to month . as the baby responds continuously changes in mother’s body , in such cases fetal heart rate plays an important role to fill out the gap of easy accessing at any time.
This way fetal heart rate monitor will be accessible for everyone and anyone, ultimately improving the health of the pregnant women living in the cities and the rural areas, by diagnosing the respective medical conditions accurately, without having to worry about the affordability or complexity of operating. Moreover, this device will also be easy to operate, making it super easy to work and reducing the costs spent on unnecessary maintenance. In the end, all these benefits not only benefit an individual, but the economy as a whole.
