Project Summary

Our project FARMING ROBOT is a computer numerical control CNC based robot that can move in three dimensions in order to accomplish tasks related to farming such seeding, weeding, watering, ambient light control, humidity and temprature check etc. Means to say that it can do farming with more scientific techniques and monitor the farm 24/7. It is an autonomous robot, the user will just make a set of sequence and it will follow the sequence autonomously and will notify you on the phone that the sequence has been completed.

so now you do not have to pay for a farmer to manage your farm. it will do farming and will monitor your farm in more efficient ways. so now you can do farming all by yourself with the help of farming robot.

Project Objectives

The objective to make a farming robot is to make farming common in pakistan as we have abandoned farming for so long. so what we are doing is that we are using our engineering concepts and study to make a tobot that can do farming for the people and monitor their farms and backyards and produce the vegetables and increase the agriculture index via farming robot. its an huge objective to achieve but with the help of farming robot it can achieve easily. as psychographics clearly shows that the pakistani people having zero faming background are obssesed with technology thats why new technology with unique features always gets trendy in pakistan. The farming robot is very new technology and will assist those people who donot have farming background. in other words, the main objective of farming robot is to make this robot an essential product of a smart home.

Project Implementation Method

we have divided the implementation of this project in four phases.

First, we will work on its mechanical hardware in order to make the mechanical structure for the 3D movement of the robot. for that purpose we will research and will do some literature review to find out the best and appropriate material to use in order to achieve smooth and inertia free movement.

Secondly, we will work on the electronics of this robot. we will do research and will do some literature review to select the which motors of which specs will be best to achieve the CNC based autonomous movement of the farming robot. and then we will choose the main brain for this robot. Means to say we will choose the micro controller and further drivers to achieve the autonomous movement with precesion and error free.

Thirdly, we will work on the design and development of the tools used for the farming in order to achieve various tasks of farming such seeding, watering, weeding etc.

Fourth, we will work on the algorithms and flowcharts and data manipulation and its coding and the design of firmware and GUI for the farming robot.

and at last we will work on the first impression of the farming robot to finish its prototyping.

Benefits of the Project

As our main objective is to promote farming in every single house of pakistan. so ultimately when people havinh zero farming background will do farming in their backyard will increase the agriculture index in pakistan. secondly, as we talk about the robot it will assist those who dont have farming skills so that they donot have to pay extra to the farmers for their backyards or farms. also it will monitor thr farm 24/7 and will do what necessary for the farm on time will result the healtheir food than the industrial one. so these are many benefits individually as well as for the country.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Following are the deliverables of this project:

Design and development of the 3D mechanical system of the farming robot.

Design and development of the CNC based 3D autonomous control of the farming robot.

Design and development of the tools of the farming robot i.e irrigation system etc.

Design of the algorithms and flowchart and development of the code, firmware and GUI of the farming robot.
