Project Summary
Face recognition techniques are used for different purposes in many fields such as surveilence, attendance systems and security. The researches are still ongoing for the advancements of such techniques. The purpose of the project is to employ convolutional neural network model for live face recognition under impident conditions such as pose, illumination and occlusions step-by-step. It will also include anti-spoofing technique to ensure the face liveness.
Project Objectives
The objectives of the project are Face Recognition alongwith liveness detection and dealing with the problems of illumination, pose variations and occlusions and face recognition.
Project Implementation Method
The solution will consider indoor environment for implementation perspective. Deep learning technique in the form of Connvolutional Neural Network will be used. Python language will be used for the implementation of the solution.
Benefits of the Project
Face recognition technology seems a suitlabe choice for some purposes as compared to other biometric techniques such as fingerprint, speech, hand geometry etc. It requires minimal user interaction and is also non-intrusive. This system will effectively be used in ATM's, passport and visa verification, and in government and private sectors. It may also help to identify individuals in a CCTV footage to find a missing person or to find a criminal. This project can also be a helping material for students to learn different techniques using CNN.
Technical Details of Final Deliverable
The solution will include the face liveness detection of a person and recognize faces from live streaming for indoor environment. The project may result the integration of some algorithms using CNN technique to solve the problems focused in the project. The proposed solution will be possibly used for security in different areas such as authorizing the people in a conference hall or attendace system in an office or organization.
