The solar grass cutter is one of the solutions to reduces the conventional energy consumptions, reduces the human efforts, and it does not need electricity for operating the whole machine, it can be fueled by solar energy. The solar panel converts the solar energy into electrical energy. Our main objective of project is to design, fabricate and analyze the remote control lawn mower and also reduces the conventional energy consumptions as well as energy crisis in Pakistan. This project is a physical deliverable. it consist of a steel base, square pipe (18Gauge thickness), metallic sheet (16Gauge thickness), wiper motor control the wheels of lawn mower machine which provide the torque to move them. It can be used to maintain and un-keep lawns in gardens, school, colleges and universities. It provides clean environment as well as reduces the noise pollution as compared to manual handling grass cutter.
The main objective of our project is to fabricate a solar grass cutting machine for making the cutting operation smooth and with less effort. The main components used in this project are DC Wiper motors, Blade, Switches, IR Sensor, Rely, Battery, Connecting wires, Solar panel, Radiator Lawn Mower wheels, H-Bridge, DC motor driver, Arduino and HC-05 Bluetooth. The purpose of our project is to avoid energy crisis in Pakistan and reduces the human efforts, operating cost and maintenance cost. The whole machine operates on the solar energy stored in battery. The IR sensor is used for the obstacle detection to avoid any damage of the human, object and animal. Also we are using rely to control the motor connected to blades as a switch. The prototype is charged from sun by using solar panel.
We have started our project with a detailed review of the related research. for that purpose, research of some articles or papers has been conducted. By following it we decided on a range of output power that is generated and source is solar power. after that, we followed the following tasks to implement our project:
TASK#01: First of all we designed the architecture of the project.
TASK#02: Purchasing the devices, components, and equipment that we are used in the project.
TASK#03: The base of steel for the project has been made by a welder. He made it according to the architecture of the project
TASK#04: After that we arranged the solar panel to get the desired output.
TASK#05: Arrangement of other components is done. TASK#06: We will compare the results to the assented outputs. if the results will positive then our project will be ready.
Our solar based grass cutter is a prototype, that is a promising alternative green project due to its potential to directly convert solar energy into electrical power. The applications of the project is converting solar energy into electrical power can improve the overall efficiencies of energy conversion systems. our project has the following benefits in general:
This grass cutter machine is solar based and its battery gets charged from sunlight while mowing on the lawn . Ultrasonic sensors were used for avoiding obstacles. Android smart phone is used for capturing images of the lawn as per requirement.
