Project Summary

We are designing this project by observing the current situation of law and order in Pakistan and in the whole world. Everyday hundreds of armed forces personnel and innocent people are either injured or lose their lives while detecting and defusing bombs or in bomb blasts. The “Explosive Sensing Robot” provides safety and security to bomb disposal squad and armed forces. It help them to take security measurements while defusing the bomb because through this robot they get all information about the suspicious packet. Before actually approaching for suspicious packets and for its disposal our robot tells the location for suspicious packet and allowing the law and enforcement agencies to analyze the suspicious packet through the camera that is in robot. That’s how “Explosive Sensing Robot” provides protection to law and enforcement agencies.

A robot put out the life of law and enforcement agencies from dangerous life threaten scenarios and help the disposal squad to analyze an explosive device rather to put life in danger. Our area of concern is to provide security to the common people that are not yet aware of the explosive materials that can cause danger in their lives.

“Explosive Sensing Robot” is basically a hardware and desktop application whose basic and foremost purpose is to provide security measures to every single citizen of our country. The previous all desktop and hardware application were used to detect metals only but “ESR” will detect the explosive material for privacy concerns.

Project Objectives

Our aim is to develop such a robot that can detect explosive stuff like bomb from approximately 200 meters and gives feedback to admin and provides security from dangerous materials.

Our project will provide security and prevent people from terrorism. All the explosive materials are detected by robot and provide ultimate safety and protection to the surroundings. We will overcome all the possible drawbacks of previous robots in the market like some robots can only detect metals but as we know that bomb is composed of metal as well as a bombing powder. We are going to develop a system that will fulfil our client requirements and their needs. We will achieve our target by creating a robot using artificial intelligence technology.

Project Implementation Method

When the user entered in the specified region the first thing that will be done is that the user will be detected by the robot by the mean of sensors and the cameras that are providing security checks to the system. The robot will detect if there is any harmful material or not. In case of harmful material after sensing, it will diffuse the material and send information to the staff but in case of safety all the necessary information will be provided to staff. The staff will login and can access to the main page. All the data will be saved in database and a report will also be generated by staff.

Benefits of the Project

This system is completely based on hardware and desktop application. The scope of our project is to make robot an intelligent device so that it can detect harmful material that can affect human lives in large quantity. Firstly, admin and staff will login to ensure that he is a valid user or not. Then, security issues will be checked in case of threat it will reject the login process otherwise, he will have access to main page. When a user will enter the system with some explosive material the robot will detect it and send information to the staff and the system will beep and adds information to the database. Robots can be outfitted with electronic explosive detection devices to help a bomb technician determine if explosive materials are present. Our project will detect the material through sensors by using artificial intelligence (AI) technique.
