E-waste is produced in millions and millions of tons every year all over the world. In developed countries it is required that E-waste must be recycled properly. Due to strict environmental control and higher recycling cost, E-waste is dumped in developing countries including Pakistan. But in Pakistan the E-waste is not properly and completely recycled. The way this material is recycled in Pakistan is very is not environmental friendly. It also create health issues for general public, especially to those who are involved in this business. E-waste recycling is based on 3 steps, printed circuit boards (PCBs) dismantling & processing, crushing and separator (separate different types of materials). The focus of this this project is towards the first step of recycling i.e. PCB dismantling and processing.

PCB dismantling machine is basically a fully automated machine which is used to de-sold components from the PCB boards which are generally taken out from electronic/computer devices, appliances and other electronic based items. Dismantled components and PCBs are separated and collected for further processes. This machine presents an environmental friendly solution to the recycling of E-waste.

Project Objectives Project Implementation Method

The project will be implemented by first designing the dismantling machine and building the machine. The machine will be fully metal body. 

Basic concept of the machine is, a rotating drum in which all the electronic waste will be gathered and closed during the process. 

The machines consist of an outlet for the components being unsold from the PCB boards. The unsolding of the components will be done by increasing the temperature in the drum. The temperature will be maintained to a certain degree.

Hazardous gasses will be produces from the e-waste, which will be going through the air filtration plant and then the filtered air will be release in the air.
